December 29 - Among The Crowd
“Look around you. Tell me what you see.”
“Well, uh, there’s a crowd of people. All sorts of people.”
“Of course there’s a crowd, you’re in the middle of a city. Tell me who you see.”
“There’s an older woman, graying hair on a slim frame. A younger man, headphones in, probably going to a job he hates. There’s a businessman, wearing a gray suit-”
“Tell me more about him.”
“He’s, well. He’s in a gray suit.”
“Tell me more.”
“I think he’s looking at me. He looks like a businessman, I think. In a gray suit.”
“Are you sure he’s looking at you?”
“Uh. Probably? His head is pointing my way.”
“What about his eyes?”
“I’m not sure.”
“Get out of there, now.”
“But I think he’s walking towards me. He looks like he’s a real professional, he must have something really important to tell-”
“Get out of there.”
“Why so urgent? I’m sure he can’t do too much harm. It’s such a nice suit he’s wearing.”
There’s a long pause, and a sigh.
“You seemed like such a promising candidate, I’m sorry you’re doomed now. Goodbye, Lauren.”
